Is there another fuel pump other than the injector pump

96 landcruiser prado 3.0 1kzte motor when I turn the key and turn over the motor no fuel comes out the end of the fuel line that goes to the injector pump that's after priming etc if I pump the primer fuel comes out . is the injector pump the only thing that pulls fuel from the tank ? seems like there should be something pushing or pulling fuel to the filter .

Originally there's no other pump. Some previous owner has added one just before the filter to my LJ though, perhaps for a reason?
