When I bought my 100 I had a bunch of service records from the previous owner. I left this folder of records at the bank and they chucked it before I realized my mistake.

Is there a way to tell if the timing belt has been replaced?

If it was done at a Toyota or Lexus dealership, you can log into the owners site and view the service history. If it was done by an indy, look for the timing belt replacement sticker under the hood. Otherwise, a visual inspection my be the best you can do.

If the shop reports to carfax it may show on there. I was able to verify mine by contacting the shop that showed up on carfax (timing belt wasnt specifically listed though). The shop was able to confirm by vin# that the the TB and WP were both done and gave me the mileage when it was completed.
