I need a few pieces of channel to add a spot for the motorcycle on my boat trailer. Is there anywhere is vegas that gives deals on cut offs, or scrap?

I have been able to buy scraap metal for a good price at Silver Dollar Recycling on Losee Rd. The down side is you have to look through the piles yourself while dodging any heavy equipment that might be working on the piles at the time.

Nice. I am sick of paying stick prices for Steel. Paul, sounds like you are in to fabbing. What sort of equipment are you using? I'm happy to have acquired my welder, been doing some stuff: Tire carrier, working on M101 trailer, furniture.

Looked for Curis today after work. couldnt find it. But I havmt looked. I guess I should acualy look for there address.

I am using friends stuff. Lincoln 220 mig with bottle. and a sawzall. Just doing some modifications on the boat trailer to fit my motorcycle. At home I got a 110 mig.And a Milwaukee portaband! Dads got the 220 Hobart on bottle and the cutting torches. Tubing bender is in the works. 2 other friends have benders. Frydaddy modded his protools with hydro from a tractor. And in his garage is a Cincinnati Machine Lathe. Plasma cutter. Big on that you hook to the compressor. Not the little one with onboard air.

I love to weld. Can pass structural cert tests with stick. I welded on Chuck Lenzie powerhouse out neer Moapa

Made it to Curtis today! New price is .53. I got some square tube from the cutoff rack. I did see some round tube there, one piece around 10 feet. I need to go back maybe get a full stick, but what I got was clean. Way better than the rusty crap we get at home from the cutoff pile.

Its on Wynn road off of Trop. I was way off and went to the warehouse the first time.

There was a guy with a 4x4 VW Vannagen there buying aluminum angle and 1" tubing. Building racks for bins to take his van to Alaska. THe van was cool. had these small Michelins on it. he got them in Canada.

I think there was a piece of 1" tube there, but it was too hevey a wall than what he wanted. I didnt notice anything else, but I wasnt looking.
