Is the Sunroof the same in LX470 and Land Cruiser?

Hi all,

I've done a bit of searching and can't find the answer I'm looking for. I need to order a new sunroof for my 2003 LX470 and am trying to find one that will fit and is cheap. I found the following but even though they are different part numbers, I'm not sure if they are the same piece or not. There's a $200 difference in price. I know a lot of parts are shared between the two and wanted to know if this is one of them.

Also, does anyone know if the glass assembly comes with the metal structure glued to the glass with the 4 mounting bolts?

63 also shows as a valid part number on the Lexus sites for 98-01 and 73 says it fits 02-07, but then adds that it fits 98-01 in the description. Car-part.com also has them compatible in their interchange.

I'd bet you'd have no issues with the Toyota part, but may have a hard time finding a dealer that'll let you order it and return it if it doesn't fit.

I'd probably go with a used part for that reason. Most places will let you return parts, especially if the interchange is wrong.

Could the difference be in the tint on the glass? Earlier ones had the 'bronze' thing going on.

I just pulled off my sunroof (1999 100 series) glass and put on a new factory sunroof this morning. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you. I still have the old sunroof glass in my garage, so it is easy to take photos. The old sunroof was still good, as far as I can tell, but I replaced it to ensure the gasket will be good for another 10 years, since I will sell this Land Cruiser to my brother next year and he keeps his cars forever.

Thanks for the responses guys! I actually talked to my buddy at the Lexus dealer and he is getting me a proper sunroof for my truck for a super discounted price so I went ahead and got the correct one.
