mine is kinda corroded and i was thinking about replacing until i priced a new one at the dealer. should i go w/ a used one, or can i bypass the system altogether? thoughts? ???

I wouldn't bypass it. You can get a good used one from cruiserparts.net. I think I got one for around $30.

Get the emissions manual and test yours first - it may be fine, even if it's a little rusty. Unless you're doing a concours(sp?) resoration and want to win a trophy at Pebble Beach. If yours works, just hit it with a wire brush and a rattle can...
