Is it possible to interchange front accumulators with rear on LX470?

Hi,
I have 2001 LX470 with both front accumulators that went bad. To save myself some $, I can get my hands on rear accumulators. I am told that I can put the rear accumulators in the front, and, actually, they will last longer. Is this right?
Thanks,
A

That might be right. The rear globes are bigger than the front ones, 500 cc vs 400 cc. The rears also run a slightly higher pressure, 2.65 vs 2.26 MPa, but if the globes are not completely new, they have probably lost that much pressure already. In any case the difference is not huge - but in theory you could notice a tiny bit rougher ride.
So yes, rear globes up front should last longer than standard front globes.
