Just did an EGR disable reflash on my 2020 LC with 1VD-FTV diesel. My friend did it for me for free and I saw the whole process, it was very similar to Dynojet Harley flash tuner, It was cool.

My friend suggested me to not bother blocking the EGR pipe but I think I read somewhere that even with ECU reflash it is still advisable to physically block the EGR pipe with a blanking plate. Can anyone advise me? Thanks in advance

Turning off the EGR only takes it to 5%. Its not blocked completely. In the same way a hole in the EGR plate is useless, so is turning it off in software and not blocking it completely.

This was 70K with no catch can or EGR off

Awesome, that pretty much answered my questions. Will do the complete block off and catch can soon
