Question for the experts.

Abnormal sound from the compressor area - please see video in link. What could the sound be?

A little history: My AC was blowing hot air, and the compressor clutch would not engage.
I rotated the compressor with a wrench 1/4 turn and it started engaging. It seemed "stuck" initially but took little effort to turn it counter-clockwise. Spins freely by hand now.

Freon was also pretty low (chronic recurrent problem - slow leak) so I added some.
AC cools now, and temperature inside cabin air reached 60F (outside is 100F)
The sound comes on when I turn on the AC, and goes off when it is turned off.

I am at 160,000K miles. Do I need a new compressor, or could this be the bearing..
Going to take it in to be looked at, and would like to be be prepared.

Thanks for looking. Any input would be appreciated.

Also, is it possible to lubricate the compressor pulley with WD-40?

R134a Leak fixed with the Red Angel stuff.....2 weeks and it is holding its pressure
Compressor still noisy, but cooling well. Added oil to the refrigerant and its less noisy
fingers crossed....so far so good!

Going to hold off on the compressor replacement for now and wing it
