Alright folks - broke down and paid the big bucks for these things and I must say they are beefy. Pretty impressed.

However, they didn’t come with installation instructions and there were two sets of bolts (four bolts total) that both worked with the setup on my GX470:

The above were left over - a narrower bolt with special ‘washers’ (not sure of the proper term here?) that seat through either side of the rotating section of the drop link.

I used the larger bolts that also fit through, but with more standard shaped (yet still angled) washers:

Did I do this right? If so, what are the other bolts for?

Nice looking product!

I just got some Moog links that I will be cutting and extending, but this would have been easier..

Edit: just saw that they list for $160! Even with the constant 25% off sale, I think chopping and welding my $20 Moogs will work for me. 😂

Yeah I paid under $120 with shipping/taxes, but it’s still a hefty toll for something I half wanted to remove entirely.

I'm a big advocate of keeping the stock rear sway bar on link/coil Toyota rear suspension. Some guys seem to have luck without it if they are running much stiffer rear springs but the setups I have had needed the bar for roll stability.

Can you post pics after you extend? I'll be doing this mod as well (though not for a few months until my GX mod fund replenishes itself so I can afford a lift....) and also plan to extend a pair of OE replacement links by welding. I'm on the fence on if to just do a basic extension or fab in threaded adjustment like the Ironman links.

Proforged rear links for a 4runner are longer than OEM; good, cheap option for lifted.

@Rednexus
Since the Ironman links are already longer, I don’t have immediate plans to extend them further. If/when I do, I’ll post a pic.
In the before pic, you can see the bar being pulled at an upward angle and with the Ironman unextended, it’s now level.
Cheers

Sure, I'll probably post a thread in a week or so for all my work I've been doing lately.

The threaded idea is also a good one, and just blue Loctite everything in place. The Moog links are much thicker than stock (14.30mm VS 9.85mm) so threading it to M14 or even 9/16 NF would be... A lot of work. 😂

Threading an OEM link to 3/8 NF wouldn't be too bad.

I'm totally taking the lazy approach and chopping the Moog links in half, and zapping in some tubing with the steel hot glue gun. I just need to find something with the right ID to be a decent fit.
