Hi guys

I have searched and found few opinions on old man emu.

I have AHC on my 1999 LC 100.
Looking to swap to live suspension.

If i want a comfy daily driver am i better off going with an Ironman or Olf Man suspension ?
Truck will be taken occasionally on mild off roading

I am leaning towsrds ironman

Pls advise

Jay

I went with tough dog and haven't looked back once...

I took out my AHC and replaced with ome torsion bars and Iron Man shocks. I love it, and only wish I would have done it sooner. I've never had the OME shocks but from what I read most prefer the Iron Man comfort wise. I doubt you can go wrong with either one but if you are leaning Iron Man just do it. You won't regret it.

Can't go wrong with the Ironmans. But OME is a respected company as well. Personally I have the Ironman shocks, springs, and torsion bars and love it.

Loving my Ironman setup. Went with the ProFoams and am very happy

Seeing that the foam cell pro's are forever out of stock, I'd say go with anything but Ironman unless you want just the regular nitro shocks.

Does the iron man kit have adjustable shocks? Do they offer the diff drop?

I have iron man pro foam and my tears are done. I tow a very light camper trailer (less than 1K). Bushings went first now shocks are done at about 35k miles. Fronts are still good.

How do you have a 99 LC with AHC? Also I have a non AHC and an AHC truck and the AHC is badass.....very badass.

I love my ironman pros but I would rather run AHC all day long.

Took off OME so go TD or IR Pros.

Toyota offer AHC to 100 LC in certain market such as Europen, Middle East and Asia market. Unfortunately none make it to the Good old USA. The VX-R model LC 100 has it as well as the LC Cygnus which is the LX470 in the US. So in a way we do get AHC in the 100 LC luxury model, the LC Cygnus with Lexus badge.

I understand that... I just didn't go to his profile to see where he was from....

So then out of stock IMP shocks don't matter to this guy since he is not here.

So in 35k miles while occasionally towing a 1k pound trailer your rear iron man pro foams took a dump? They were at the top of my list but that's just not going to work for me.

@Cowboy59 Foam cell pros have a 3 year/60,000 km warranty. Did you contact Ironman about the failure? Are you using Ironman rear springs as well, or something else?

I had OMEs for about 60k miles then switched to the Pro Foams. I like the ride of the Pro's better, but it isn't a crazy difference on the highway. You will notice they are a far better product offroad and on washboard stuff though!

I just did the AHCectomy on my 99 Lexus LX470. I love the new Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro's My truck has 289K and still had the original AHC. It rides much better now, little body roll and never bottoms out. Here's my upgrade list:
1 - Ironman 4x4 Foam Cell Pro stage 1 kit
2 - SPC upper control arms
3 - Sway bar extended links - front/rear
4 - Metal Tech 4x4 upper/lower control arms in the rear
5 - OEM sway bar bushings front/rear

many of the Ironman vs. OME debates are with the typical nitrogen shocks. To me, these Foam Cell Pro's are the best performance/dollar value out there. Not
many (including myself) actually NEED remote res. shocks (Icon/Fox/King) on a 100 series LC. So, far the customer service with Ironman has been top notch.

Do you have any added weight? Like aftermarket bumpers, etc?
