The Orion case won't work without some machining so I don't know which way I'm going to go yet.

Those gears look like they did not suffer any damage. I would still build up the Orion using 4 speed xfer gears if it was me. Save the 3 speed gears for spares.

I might take you up on your offer BB. I have to check, but I think all I need is two press-fit bushings to reduce the size of the idler shaft holes in the Orion case.
