Hey all, been working on my 2001' TLC 100 series suspension over the last couple months and was planning a 10 day trip to a couple California spots with the last 3 days planned for King of the Motos in Johnson Valley. I placed an order for some Ironman Shocks planning to swap out the OME since they are a bit rigid for my set up now. I received the order yesterday from Metal Tech and noticed they sent me the wrong shocks. For the the lower mount of the shocks sent it has a mount that is actually the vertical bolt and not the horzontal through bolt. Im guesing I need to return these but was wondering if anyone has used an adapter to make it work with a through bolt?... Or even if the adapter idea could pose a higher risk of failing?

did you happen to order the ones for an 80lc ?

Not in this case since I made sure the company knew it was a 100'series. Looking at the part number it looks as the shocks are for an 80 though. 1st world problems I guess right.

Gut réponse is to not even try to use an adapter. Too much stress on that point to guess at what might work. Get the right shock.
