I ordered that once. Returned in the next day. Total POS in my opinion.

That's the first I've heard of that, as many of our friends use them and they are really well made. Stand up to off-road and kid abuse, and the only issue we had in 7 years was a cable that needed replacing.

Which vehicle mount did you purchase? Dash or console? And which device mount?

I only ordered the mount that you have to jam into the gaps in your dash. I didn't like how much force it required. I never quite got it in as I was sure something was going to give. Even if I get it in, it would have left a permanent slight tweak to the dash. I ended up buying a panvise mount.

Scosche magnet mount from Walmart. Super strings. Stays on during real trail riding and was like 15 bucks. I have 2 in the cruiser and 2 in the tundra.

I can vouch for them too. I would have mounted the base a half inch more to the left if I had to do it again but otherwise this set up has been perfect for me. I'm also a fan of the magpul phone cases although I had to grind one edge of the pictured box for the small metal plate included with the mount to sit flush.
