I hope so. My wife has been dreaming of an iPhone for a couple years, but I refuse to switch to AT&T.

The question is....by the time the iPhone hits Verizon, will it be the end-all be-all phone to buy? I thought about getting a Droid Incredible, since I'm eligible in August. Should I do that, or hold out til January and get the iPhone?

Not sure...but I do love the iPhone. Bought the wife a 3G when they came out and she swore it was a waste of money...but I'd have to drug her to get it away from her now. The apps and convenience of having everything in one device is what she loves. I;ve had other smartphones and none compare to the iPhone from a 'user experience' perspective.

On the same note, the wife's brother has one of the Droids and loves it...but he's never had an iPhone either...

Also - had a buddy that upgraded his 3G to iOS4 (or whatever they are calling it) and he said his phone was much slower...the new iPhone is exponentially faster than my 3G.

Just got back from being in Vegas for 7 days for CiscoLive/Networkers....received my iPhone4 by Fedex on the 23rd, took it with me. Performance is much faster, however, in Vegas, dropping calls left and right. I blame Vegas at this point. There were 12.5k network nerds and most had iPhone of some sort.

Love mine so far, but not enough to stand in line...thank you Fedex.

BTW, stopped and spoke to Verizon (they had a booth there), regional sales guy said they would have iPhone in January. I will not be switching to Verizon, tried that last year, and they were worse for me.

Brad, if that was before the Alltel acquistion, I would recommend trying again. I have AWESOME coverage through Verizion, but I attribute most of that to the Alltel towers that were already in place (I'm a former Alltel customer and had great coverage through them)

If I still lived in a mountainous area, Cali or CO i'd maybe go back to verizon. Out here though i've found I get service with ATT where people with Verizon phones don't.

Back home i'd admit verizon has much better coverage, but are much more expensive, customer service is crap and they are full of hidden charges which made me drop them like a rock.

Very true - Alltel had tons of towers where other providers didn't (at least) here in NC. That's probably the main reason Verizon bought them...

I just cried.....that is hilarious.
Thanks Ramon, I needed that today.
