Nala is my 80 series Land Cruiser. I have owned her for five years. Two months after buying her, I took out her rear quater panel on a rookie mistake.... We have been all over Colorado, road tripped it down to TX for the Lone Star Round Up two years in a row, drove to Sothern California and Northern CA. I have put 65K miles on her and she now has 225k... We have made some great friends and have many stories to share in our journey.

She has 315-75 Good Year Wangler MT/r. Solid Rock Off Road sliders! everything else is factory. Sitting in my living room is a Slee 4" lift kit that I'm going to install next week. She will also be getting 4:88s by the end of the month.

Did I miss out on a wrenching get together?

It was a very impromptu

"Angelo, nice to meet you, You say have your 4" slee lift with you in the cruiser"
Moj, You have enough Captain?

Let's put it on.

4 hours later, were done.

pshh it took only 30 minutes or so maybe 35.

Now I need to do a front axle service, and I still need to pull those diffs.... I learned that I'm not comfortable enough to pull the thirds on my own....

But on a side note I finished putting in the brake lines, diff breathers, panhard rods and caster plates.

If you can do the front axle service you should be able to pull the thirds. Bring a handle of Captain to Gerald and see what happens.

You know thats what I thought when I got under there, but I looked at it and was at a total loss... Although I think its just undoing some bolts, locking it, pulling the half shafts, and whamo the third falls out with some effort. I guess its just that fact that I've never done it...

Why do you need to remove the 3rd's?
