Hey All,

Just thought I would take the time this morning to introduce myself and my 80.

My name is Evan and I live in Tucson, I'm a working as a library assistant right now as I am going to college for my BS in network security I already have an AS in computer science. I'm buy no means a school nerd in fact I did not even return to college until I was 27. I'm 30 now. I used to do a lot of mountain biking in fact bicycles where the only mode of transportation I ever owned until I bought my first automobile (this fzj80) at the age of 29.

I have just gotten married and with my wife, the full time job and part time school I have found it hard to do much bicycling. I attended United bicycle institute in Ashland OR for there entire 2 month program and have certs in suspension tech, wheel smithing and advanced shop operations. by no means do this translate into any automotive repair skill, but I'm reasonably mechanically inclined. unfortunately I live in a apartment and don't have any work space so I'm really looking forward to buying a house someday and being able to set up a work area.

I do love my 80 and so far all I have done is replace the CD head unit (eclipse) add another horn, install 2 KC lights in the mounts on the Damage multiplier, add Yakima cross bars and 2 raptor bike trays. I replaced the transmission gear shifter (leather was thrashed) with an OEM from a 94 I found on ebay. I had Dan's toy shop swap my PHH with the blue silicon version. That is about it so far. I have a my tax return coming soon and I plan on adding tires and the 2.5 OME lift when that cash flow comes in.

I have had a awesome time so far doing research and fixing things that I can. This is a great truck and I feel very lucky that this is my first automobile, just goes to show that good this do come to those who wait.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope to meet some fellow cruiser owners soon. Attached is a picture of my 80 and my wife on Mt.lemon

Peace,

Evan

Edit: please move this to introductions (sticky) sorry I miss placed it.
