Hi, I have been ghosting around this site for a while. I have been laying low and putting off joining ONSC because I am about to deploy and will be gone for a while. The thing is, I got my LC out of the shop today and I am pumped up!
I bought my 1974 FJ40 from a guy just north of Atlanta. He was the second owner. The original owner put 140K on it and, according to the guy I bought it from, drowned it during a water crossing. The f engine broke and the original owner decided to sell. My guy bought it and a 2F out of an 80 FJ40 and never installed it. I bought it after it sat for 6 years under a lean-to on his garage. One heavy equipment trailer and a 12 hour round trip
and I joined the club.
So, here I am...1974 FJ 40 with a 2F, 4 spd. 1F Aisin carb, points ignition, and a metal (timebomb) fan and about a month left to drive it.
