Hello people,
After selling my 3rd gen 4Runner, I felt dead inside, until I happened upon an 80 series LC (96) and I am smitten. Moving my knowledge from a 3.4 to the 4.5 and loving it.
Looking forward to gaining insight from all the Toyota brains on here!

Welcome to the club!

This 80 looks very similar to one in the classifieds section, are you the new owner? Nice looking.

Not sure about the classifieds, but definitely the new owner!

Welcome to the club. If you haven't made your way to the Copper State Cruisers forum Copper State Cruisers and introduce yourself there too.

nice i like the two tone monsta liner?
Looks like someone already did all the work for you.

It's pretty much ready to go, just little cosmetic things.

Thank heaven you didn't go astray and try to fill that dead empty void with a Jeep. Congrats and many happy miles ahead!

Ha! Never would I even think about a Chrysler(fiat) product!

High prices are pretty much across the board, but when you charge that much for a "simple, utilitarian" Jeep, sales might drop. But I still see hundreds of them on my 15-minute commute to work! I guess they were banking on everyone wanting a Jeep, and now they're sitting on a huge load of inventory.

You've made a bad decision because the 80-series is addictive. My son grew up in an 80 series when I drove one and when he turned 16 he started driving a Cayenne, then looking for the ultimate machine, he bought a Silverado (not happy), then he bought a 100 series (not happy with the IFS) and when he bought an 80-series he was like: aaaah, finally I have what I want. Once you have a taste of the simplicity and robust engineering, there's no other choice.
