Hey gang....

cruiserbrett and I have been PM'ing for a couple weeks on this....we kinda hashed back and forth on how to do it, and not end up pushing the tech into too many areas of the forum, since many mechanical things on the 45's are identical to the 40's and 55's.

This seemed to be the correct solution...providing a spot for the 45 enthusiasts to track their specialty parts, and discuss those tech (and other) items that are specific to the 45-series Cruisers.

to partially quote one of Brett's PM's....

...more specific FJ45 stuff, reproduction parts, who's got repro projects in the works, ideas, resto tips, even FJ45 specific parts for sale? ... Here's kinda what I had in mind for the "rules" of the section:

FJ45 corner is for the discusion of preservation/restoration of FJ45 pickups, wagons and even those rarer cruisers like FJ25's and all 4 FJ35's. Parts and Wanted ads SPECIFIC to FJ45(and 25's too) are fine. Other generic stuff can find a home in the For Sale sections. The theme of the forum is to create a go to section for FJ45 enthusiasts. If you know of a FJ45 by all means post up; that is encouraged. The more there are out there, the more likely repro stuff will start materializing...

anyways, that's the story.....any questions? ask Brett! lol

BTW: what the hell is a FJ35?!?

Wait a second ......... four FJ35's? There were none a few months ago. Is there a Dolly the Sheep thing going on we don't know about? ;)

Actually Woody, I was thinking of the same thing ..... more of a restorers corner for those interested in the original unobtainium, reproduction projects, but not just limited to 45's but all early cruiser stuff like in Bretts quote. The 45's deserve a spot of their own, but maybe a restoration forum for general interest? Projects like Foxfabs dataplates on PBB cover all the models.

FJ35's... I have heard of a cloning operation situated somewhere in the San Fernando valley. Only random sitings at this point and a few pics.

easy enuf to change the "main" forum title and specialize it to a Restorers section.....we discussed that too....then, break the Sale stuff into each specific oddball model....

open to more suggestions....only takes minutes to make tweaks and adjustments....

This forum is a great idea. Thanks, Woody!
