I've been a long time browser of both MUD and Cactus Cruiser.

Thought I'd finally intro myself. My rig: 78 fj40, Stock 2f, Orion, 4" HFS SUA, 4.88's, ARB's F/R, 4 whl disk, rear aux tank, warn winch.

Couldn't have built my rig if not for MUD and this forum. I've pretty much finish the main build and now it's the never ending modifications.

My Bro runs a Cherokee and we've been pondering a Copper Canyon, Carpet Hill run from Turkey Creek through to Mammoth on the weekend of June 13th. We're open to which way we run it, but we want to run it.

I did Turkey Creek to Parsons Grove over the memorial day weekend. Road was good. Haven't been over Table Top since last year.

Anyone interested in a run? Since I live in Tucson, and he lives in Phx, we'd have rigs from both area's going and I'd love to get some fellow cruisers on the run.

Welcome. Your 40 looks very clean and well equipped.

Very nice 40 welcome I need to look those trails up to see if I am interested. I kinda don't know anything about them including where they are

Been wanting to do that run for years, halfway is as far as I've gone. Unfortunately, I am tied up that weekend.

X3 on the nice 40, and welcome.

Thanks for the compliments on my truck. It took almost a full year to do a full frame off rebuild. Did the best I could, it's my first build so there's stuff I'd do different now that I have a little more experience. It's my first paint job also. At least I know for certain there's no rust under the paint.

Puulboy, you can find the trail - which most call Carpet Hill - by starting at Mammoth, find Copper Canyon Road on your topo's, follow it east, look for Rug Road to split north off of Copper Canyon Road. Follow Rug Road all the way till it drops into Turkey Creek. You'll see Little Table Top, Table Top, and Parsons Grove along the way. Follow Turkey Creek North til it intersects with Arivaipa Canyon, follow that east to Klondyke. Then Klondyke to either Stafford, or south to Bonita and Wilcox.

A search of Carpet Hill on any AZ offroad forum will come up with information on the trail.

We plan on making the trip a Sat/Sun thing. Taking off from one side or the other on Sat Morning and only going half way and camping Sat night, exiting Sunday. Leisurely trip.

Hey nice 40 and Welcome! Love the classic hardtop...

Not sure about the run dates but we'll see.
