I'm kinda new to 100's and really like durability. I currently am driving a 2013 tacoma 4x4 with a 6 speed, but am looking to get into an SUV.

I went today to check out some lc's in my area.

first one had a good car fax, so I drove to check it out... it has been rode hard and put up wet. Leather looked like s***, holes in the carpet, etc.

this one was parked 2 cars down.

this car has great service records, is a 2 owner vehicle, and was always serviced at lexus. Best interior of any used 100 truck I've seen. carpet, and seats, all looked very clean. body was very clean. bad news is truck has 200k miles on it, and air suspension is shot. I really like truck 2, but $20k for a 200k truck seems way over priced.

what is fair price for truck 2. Thanks!

Unless it has aftermarket suspension bits, it is not "air suspension" it is hydraulic. Much more reliable and durable than air. If it is indeed shot, that could be a huge bill and a great bargaining tool for you, particularly if you are planning on a standard suspension swap anyway. $15-17k seems fair assuming you are right on the suspension being shot and given mileage.

i think the dealer is kinda shady. I got the feeling it was a "bad credit, no credit, no problem!" type place. they will just wait, because some dumb ass will come in and pay what they want.

The ride level system appears wonky. you hit the ride up button, and nothing happens. Same thing when you hit the ride down button. I told the sales rep it was not working, and he kinda shrugged his head and said he would talk to the manager.

Make sure you have all doors closed, vehicle in park, and parking brake set when you push the button. Otherwise it will not work and the light on the dash will just flash.

Also, no foot on brake.

^^^ What he said. When I went to pick mine up we had a moment where nothing was working so we checked the manual, closed all doors etc and everything worked perfectly. $20K still seems very steep for that mileage, I would agree with others here and say closer to 17k would be better.

If it does have the proper documentation and it as clean as you say it is, I would not hesitate just based on the mileage. These things will run forever so I'd say go in there with a price in mind and negotiate hard.
