Greetings - I'm a long time Mud member, but I haven't done any wheeling. I've met a couple of Yankee Toy members tho, very nice guys. Now I'm in a bit of a jam...

I optimistically bought an FJ 62 several years ago, and got Tedd at Cruiser Solutions to put in a newish 12 HT diesel engine. I love the truck and it's been very very good to me. However, my wrenching skillz and available time haven't kept pace with the truck. And NOW - I'm afraid I broke a valve or at minimum a seat. I don't think I can take on pulling the head right now.:bang:

Does anyone know ANYONE in the New Haven / Shoreline area who will work on a diesel truck? The nearer to Branford the better; I don't think it's drivable.

Oh man! Sorry to hear. I will check around for you tomorrow. ChillWill, know anyone?

Thanks guys. Will, I saw you recommended a couple of places to someone in Stratford; I haven't called yet to see if they work on diesels. I don't see why everyone I've called so far won't work on diesels!!!1!

Yes they both will work on your truck and do work on diesels. Do you need their contact info again or do you have it from the other post?

Over the Edge Auto has FJ 40 body parts for sale!!!!! :bounce:

Hey Creeker how did you make out? I stopped by to look at some more parts last week and saw your 60 still there.

Hey Will. It's going to need a rebuild. :crybaby: James says he's up for it, and as of today has the engine pulled. I'm going through the list of what I never finished on the truck to see if it makes sense to ask him to do them.

Man sorry to hear that. Well if you have the time and $$ might as well get it all done now. But if your list is anything like mine it will never be done. Always a work in progress.
