Like the title says....
Happens more often when its hot outside, like today, 102
but not the only time.
drove the truck, 1988 22 re manual 4x, over the week no issues.
go out to drive, no start. click only no starter engagement.
frustrating does not begin to describe the feeling that comes over me when it happens. my first thought is,"that's it I am selling"
I have taken to parking facing downhill so I can bump start it, but honestly, losing confidence in it.
So whats the fix?
I have not done a search yet, gonna do that now.
TIA for any suggestions on how to proceed, barring that look in the for sale section :)
Edit,
any body have experience with the painless hotshot kit?
looks like a relay with wiring, but I have a relay already.

This is what I had to do to get mine to stop doing what yours is doing. Someone may know of a better way.

Rewire your stock relay to pull starter feed directly from the battery. Cut the wire where its highlighted, add an inline fuse.
