Vicky and I will be attending this event and we're wondering who else might be able to make it?

Here is a link to the Indiana DNR website for Interlake.
DNR - Division of Outdoor Recreation: Interlake Property

At the bottom of the page you can click the link for frequently asked questions that gives more info on there location. To talk to someone directly there is a phone # for Nila Armstrong on there site. She is very helpful and very pleasant.

I have not attended this event before and do not know the $ amount for the donated toys but the one held at the Badlands was a minimum $20 new in box toys.

If I can swing the day off Friday I will be going over for the clean up day on the 31st.

I'm planning to be there with my FJ40 truggy. Probably see about camping Saturday night and riding Sunday too if I can hook up with a couple other folks who want to do the same. It's a long ways to drive for just one day of wheeling...

Two years ago the dollar value of the toy was $20 just like TforT at Badlands.

Don't forget your rear track bar, Nick. By the way your 40 is awesome. Had a great time wheelin with you this weekend. Later. Tony

Bill, I won't be able to make it to the Interlake run. Too far, & no vacation time left. I will be attending the TfT @ Badlands though.

If any one has a open seat I'd love to be a copilot for the day.

My step-sons kitchen remodel turned into us stripping all but one room in the house down to bare studs, and also adding rooms upstairs. So the cruiser has been sitting in the garage and I have no time to touch it.

I wish I could say to ride with me Mark but I won't be able to make it (Fall sports).
Enjoy!!

Vicky and I will be there on Friday the 31st for the clean up day and have a room reserved in Boonville for Friday night. We won't be able to stick around for Sunday unfortunately.

Question

Ok, I want to go to Interlake for the TFT run Saturday but am unsure about the level of skill needed for the trails. This would be my first true offroad ride and do not want something that will truly tear up my FJC. Could you offer any insight?

Thanks,
Fatback

The last time I was an Interlake the guides were cutting trails. From what I remember, the main trail was present. Then the off shooting smaller trails were tight, difficult and sometimes needed a winch. If this has changed then someone please speak up. If your worried about damage then you can ride with others and park your cruiser.

When Vicky and I were there earlier this year the trails were a little over grown and needed trimed a bit, which is what we were there for on one of the work days. Other than a little of the normal "pin stipes" from branches that rub out there was no body damage from the trails we went on but did require some spotting at times. The group we were with had a well built Wagoneer, a well built Samari, a stock Jeep CJ7, and new Jeep Rubicon with a first time wheeler at the helm. Unfortunately I have only been there once and am not real familiar with all the trails but I am sure we can get some further info from the regulars there. Several of the people from the club The Boonie Riders will be working the gates and are familiar with the park, all but the new guy in the Rubicon were members that we had wheeled with the first time.

On Saturday morning we will be at the north entrance at 9:00 am.

The wife and I are heading down today and camping at Lincoln State Park. We will be heading over to Interlake first thing in the morning. I will be in a Voodoo Blue FJ with the stock black steel wheels. Will look for everyone there! Expecting to have some great times!

Someone needs to take some good pictures for the rest of us who can't make it.
