Interface Kit for (old) iPhone - PT545-00082-CK

Anyone have experience with the Interface Kit for iPods on an early 200 series (08, 09) before Bluetooth was added from the factory? I’m not thrilled about using the ancient 30 pin kit, but would love for a cheaper options for controlling music through the stock audio system. It’d be a lot cheaper than Grom or Vais.

I just found the install instructions… going to try it out. Probably will add a 30-pin to Bluetooth adapter, which are usually on amazon or ebay for a few bucks. Will report back!
