Cruising costco.com looking for a way to spend a gift card I got for Christmas I came across this tire balancer. I love discovering new tools, especially when I can see that they would be usefull and not just different for the sake of being different. Alas, the tire balancer is not for me (can't mount or dismount, so why balance), but might be just what you were looking for.

Another tool that I do own, and love, and that I think every cruiserhead should also own are Vise-Grip locking wrenches. They are made for grabbing on 3 sides of a nut or bolt and holding TIGHT. Much better than an open ended wrench when you can't get a socket on something. They also work a lot of times for grabbing the sides of stripped out pan head screws. I have both the 7" and 4" models (7LW, 4LW) which covers 99% of everything you'd likely need them for on a landcruiser.

So what other tools out there do you guys use on a regular basis that I should know about? Discuss.

I've tried the tire balancer without luck. Got the tire perfectly balanced, take it off the balancer, put it back on and it shows the tire to be way off balance. Repeated several times, no better. Might have been my technique, but I gave up on it.

any inverter over 800 watts. You can charge cordless power tools and have a small microwave for quick eats on the road. You can also have a TV in your tent as well as an electric heater and lights if you use a power bar and low draw appliances. Having spare batteries at the pick n pull where a sawzall and cordless impact make things go quicker is a good thing.

X2 on the vice grip. Thanks for the pair Misterpepper! not a unique tool, but I constantly use a set of floor jacks. dont know what i'd do with out em.
