So this is my first 100-series question. Anyway, in low range, as I get up to about 10-15mph, I can hear this interesting whirring noise that changes based on speed. I can't find a sound to compare it to but it kind of sounds like either an electric motor or a hydraulic pump thing. Is this normal or should I be freaking out?

Thanks!

normal

Sweet. Thanks.

I'll tell you what I'm freaking out about is the acceleration from a dead stop in low range. Did a straight line speed test last night and about got my teeth jammed down my throat. Makes me want a V8 in my 80 even more... Sigh

I like to do that at stop lights, when my passengers aren't paying attention I'll slip in low and hammer it. Really makes them jump. Great tool for when you pull up next to a little sports car and take off like a bat out of hell :)

bad for mpg's haha did you check the shipping, btw? sorry guys, dint mean to mess up the thread lol

Love it. I only wish the center diff lock didn't automatically engage in low range. Kind of ruins the fun not being able to turn...

Search pin-7 mod.

Thanks. Oh the fun I will have...!
