Installing OEM Snorkel and Dealing with the Antenna

I have an 80 being worked on at MUDRAK in Sonoma right now. Gary the owner installed my OEM antenna set up n the drivers side. Why has no one that I have read on this site done that before? He said it's meant for either side, just requires making a drivers side version of the bracket.
