Wondering what you folks think about this 100 Series. The stealership claims it is "immaculate" and that both previous owners had all services done at that particular shop. They say that the vehicle is worth every penny that they are asking but that they are willing to come down to $15k (plus applicable fees and taxes). I'm thinking $14k OTD sounds more reasonable. Am I off base?

The 1st Carfax report said my FJ was clean only to find d out 2years later that it hit a deer in Colorado. Best I can say is crawl underneath it and look for evidence of abuse or heavy off roading

hard to say without seeing in person, it's probably close on price but after adding in getting it and taxes. at 199k it will need another timing belt and related shortly $6-700 just in parts and a days labor
there's a 2004 in Missoula with 235k at $13,500

Thanks for the help, fellas! It's taken some haggling but the dealer has come down to $14,200 OTD. The claim is that ALL scheduled maintenance has been completed by their dealership so now we're trying to lock down whether or not the 180k maintenance (timing belt every 90K per Toyota) has been completed already.

I thought the 100 series had 100,000 mile timing belt interval
how are the tires? that's more money if they need to be changed.

Tires look to be in decent condition. It has Toyo Open Country's currently so a snow tire may be in order soon. This will be the wife's car so it won't be used for any crazy offroad stuff. At most we've talked about an OME when the time comes and a slightly larger tire size. I have a 2010 Tacoma that we use for our camping and offroading trips.
