Inner axle seal removal tips (1 Viewer)

Any tips on removing inner axle seals? I got one side out but this side is giving me trouble. I've already broken
one seal puller and bent another.

About a 12" ish long channellock type pliers works well, has about the right hook on the end.

You're digging too deep if you're doing that to the tools. You are tearing through the seal body.

At this point, I would say channellock pliers and get hold of one of those lips and pry toward center.

Wonder why you had an issue using a seal puller? I use one of those and never had an issue myself.

Because I'm a retard and thought I was getting behind the seal. I don't have much seal pulling experience.

The first time I used channellocks for that seal, was the last time for the seal puller, the pliers work so much better.
