We may be taking a trip out to calico canyon in a couple weeks. I've never been and I'm hoping for a little knowledge before we go. I've seen YouTube videos of the gatekeeper and I'm hoping to avoid that if my rig would have a hard time.(it's my DD). Odessa looks fun but I saw something about height being a problem.
My rig:
97 80
Rear and center locked
3"ish lift
315's
Baja roof rack
Arb front w 12k winch
Sliders
Etc
Will I clear the trails there? Can I go around the "gatekeeper" or is it not as bad as it looks? Any other info would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Thanks fellas

I have been out there many times, all the trails are runnable besides gatekeeper, I would just bypass gatekeeper. The rest of the trails are fun, challenging but doable especially with your setup. They have some cool little cabins you can rent if you head out there for the night. I plan to head out there eventually with the family when I get a larger lift and 35's on my cruiser.

We actually had a last minute change of plans. Ended up going to red rock canyon. Did some great wheeling and exploring. Used pretty much all my armor and will be fully deflaring soon I think. Great couple days. Still got my eyes on dusy though but may be next year
