So.... I’m not really sure what it’s called but I think there were a few years of 40’s that had s small bracket that bolts to the lower steering column bracket that holds an indicator light?

I’m hoping to find one (and a light) to use as a Check Engine Light in the 3FE project.

Anyone have any idea what I’m talking about? I have not found any pics of what I think I’m looking for. Ha ha.
 
I don’t have one currently but I had one of these on a 1975 I parted out. It was mounted to the underside of the dash left of the steering column. Hope this pic helps you if that’s what you were thinking of.

Thanks @Redgrrr. I actually have a few of those. My understanding is that it’s a small “L” bracket that holds one of the silver round lights like the early turn signals.

Not sure as I’ve only been told they exist! Thanks for posting up. I hadn’t even thought about using one of those!
 
Dom, I think it was some sort of brake light bracket. I don't know from what year though. I think 72-73 maybe.
