I have a 2000 LC, with a 2.5 OME lift. Running 285 duratracs. When I start or stop quickly, loud click noise from the driver front. The only thing I can see visually is my TB is adjusted more on the driver side. But that should not be it. UCA looks tight, so does the shock. Running out of options before I take it to a mechanic. Anyone else ever diagnose anything similar? Just curious from the learned gallery what else I should look at. I hope to have time later to jack up, take tire off and get at it, but it's 110 degrees out right now.

Ball joints good? Tie rod ends/steering rack loose or maybe (but unlikely) sway bar bushings or bearing? Jack it up and grab the wheel at 3 and 9 o'clock, and shake it around vigorously. See if you can get it to make any noise.

thanks, it's at mechanic right now. I just didn't have time, and have a beach camping trip with my kids this coming weekend. I'm having him look over the front end, both sides. Especially since I did the lift install. Hoping it's just something simple

truck is still at mechanics. they were able to recreate noise when accelerating/braking, but still not sure what it is. possible loose rack and pinion (new which they installed last year), or something else. I'm having them keep until tomorrow, maybe Thurs to see if they can diagnose and fix. if not, gotta get it back for a trip this weekend. just out to the beach so should be okay, but if it still persists, taking it to a LC specialty shop...$$$ bummer

Check the diff bushing as well as the rack bushings. Also look at the CV shafts.

Any recent brake work on the truck?

Brake caliper spring, anti-rattle spring, or caliper pin hitting your wheel or something else in there??
