Ok fellas. I've never worked on a 100 series before, but I'm going for it.

I'm in the midst of my starter replacement. I have checked out a few videos and read some threads. I don't know a lot of automotive terminology and I'm going on visuals. I have disconnected a bunch of stuff, but definitely not all that needs to be disconnected in order to get to the starter.

So I need some help and guidance. I will provide pics accompanied with my question.

Here's what I've done so far. I have labeled hoses, bolts, and their placements. Pics.

Here are some pics and the questions.

First of all I read on a thread that there is a hose that is a gas line. It read that it wouldn't leak when disconnected, but to be careful. Not sure where that line is. I haven't disconnected these two lines. They are on the DS near the back of the manifold/firewall.

Question #1.

Any of these two lines the one that's connected with the gas?

Not sure what these guys are called. The connections are located on the PS near the front of the manifold.

Question # 2. Do they need to be disconnected?

The hose at the top of the manifold.

Question # 3.

Does this hose need to be disconnected?

Question #4.

Will I be taking the manifold apart in two pieces? Unbolt the top half first? Or will it come off as one whole piece?

I see four bolts that may be connecting the bottom half of the manifold.

Near the connection.

Question # 5.

Are these the only bolts connecting to the bottom half of the manifold?

Not sure what else to disconnect.

Pics would be great.

I plan to document the replacement of the starter on my Lex Do It thread.

I need your advice and guidance. I need to have this done by sat/sun of this week.

Ok. Watched another video. I believe this following pic answers some of my questions.
I paused the video and snapped a screen shot.

I did see on another video that the manifold is taken off in two sections. Upper and lower.

I have a hose at the front of the manifold that feels like it's stuck on there pretty well.

I don't want to tear the connection.

Question # 6.

Is there anything that I may use to make this hose easier to disconnect? Or just turn and force?

The easiest way to disconnect hoses that have welded themselves onto the pipe fittings is to grab a pair of pliers and twist them off to "un-weld" them. Then you should be able to pull them off by hand.
