Wanted In the market to buy a clean FJ45 pickup truck

If you are looking for a clean one in good shape you probably need to at least look at dropping 10k for one. My advice would be to look overseas as in Australia as there are many there that are in good shape with minimal rust. Most will be diesel so either HJ45 or HJ47. There also are some importers that sell landcruisers in the states. I bought mine from a guy that had his imported and it has minimal rust and is in good mechanical shape. Keep an eye on mud as well as nice ones that aren't asking an arm and leg tend to go fairly quick.
 
I have bought an FJ45 and a HJ 47 both in Australia. Check www.Gumtree.com.au or www.tradingpost.com.au

Aussies tend to be hard to deal with, they do not like the idea of buying online.. I am lucky enough to have a local back account from when I lived there.

If you are on the west coast there is at least two FJ45 LHD trucks that I know of however prices are listed at 13k and 15k. The 14 is on Orange county Craigslist every now and then. Ther eis also a sweet one in LA for $30k currently on eBay. Or try www.grabawrench.com he list all the cool LC's for sale
 
@pumpkin troopy - thank you very much for the info. I checked all Craigslist in California. I lost a bid this morning on eBay, a 65 FJ45 from NJ. I'll continue to check the local Craigslist ads and the website u provided.
 
4grainer- That's a beautiful 45. It's just a little too much $$$$$ for me. I'm looking for something in the $10-15k. I'm also in love with the Troopys too.
