Where on the OBX is everyone going? Portsmouth Island? Hatteras? Lookout? I just moved back to Cali after 15 yrs living in Morehead City (right near obx)
If anyone has any questions about the area or gets in a pickle hit me up. I still have friends and resources in the area.

I have been recovered and also recovered others using the stock tow J-hooks (not the tie-down loops). We even used the stock ones on a Prado and that worked fine too. The factory ones obviously arent for snatch pulls - which you shouldn't be doing anyway. You must carry shackles because others may not have J-hooks.

I have one of these kits, they're super cheap for the quality of stuff you're getting, look around for better pricing: Jeep Wrangler off Road Safety Tow Kit MOPAR #82213901 WARN #91250 | eBay

This should be your minimum recovery kit for sand (not my photo). Tire pressure gauge (let down tires BEFORE getting stuck), recovery strap (not tow strap) rated to at least 2 times GVWR so about 14k lbs, shackles either soft or pin style, jack load spreader plate, gloves, and most importantly a shovel. Air compressor to air back up or know where gas stations are located so you can drive there slow. Maxtrax or TREDs are a great addition to this in case no one's around to help you.

hey @reevesci, I'm looking at your website and the 100 series bolts are listed as M14 x 1.5 x 40mm (instead of the x 45mm you've listed above). Can you confirm the proper length of bolt to use with your beefed up 100 series tow points? I'm happy to order the bolts from you as well instead of finding them somewhere else. Thanks!

Honestly anything over 35mm is fine. ALL OF MY 100 bolts are now 45mm
