Are we ever going to have a meeting or maybe do a late lunch somewhere...where we can meet one another? Just wondering? I know people are spread across the state.

Maybe on a Sat afternoon or something..

Since everyone is so spread out across the state, it maybe easier to meet up at an event or ride. Events and other rides are a great place to meet up and get to know one another since we are in our element. Also, I encourage everyone to meet on a local level, nothing formal. Just meet, talk about trucks, and help one another work on trucks.

The Skyline ride is coming up in February with Smokey Mountain Cruisers (SMC). BamaBleach and the SMC guys have invited us to come and take part so people can take a look at our club. This will be our first ride of 2009 to get some of us from across the state together. I hope we can plan an informal meeting like this every quarter.

Since most of our members don't mind camping, we will probably camp at one of several campsites in the WMA. Keep posted to the DixieLand Forum for details to come. The SMC guys have also arranged a group rate at the Jameson Inn in Scottsboro for those that don't want to camp.

More details on the Skyline Ride can be found at the FJ Cruiser Forum at this link: 3rd Annual Skyline Ride / Feb 21-22, 2009 / Skyline, AL - Toyota FJ Cruiser Forum

As for formal meetings and get togethers, those will come with time. We are a "young" club right now, but things are taking shape for a successful future. Keep posted for more details!

DON'T FORGET...all suggestions are WELCOME!

I plan to be at the skyline ride... Since I've never met anyone....you guys will have to look for me. I'll be the idiot with the tan brick 60 w/veterans tag among the FJcruisers. I have met Phil and some of the other guys from SMC (most of whom ride FJ cruisers). There were a couple of guys from Ft. Payne area who came over in a nice stock 40 with PTO winch... a couple of other 40's... I think I was the only person with a 60 there. Phil and his dad had 40's too.

A friend and I plan to show up this coming ride. It's a good 1.5 hour drive from where I live to Skyline. We'll probally do the 21st....don't know if we can show up on the 22nd too.
