In need of a new scanner

Good evening.

My old ScanGauge II stopped reading and clearing codes. I have been wanting to get a better scanner for some time, and now my hand is forced. I have to admit up front that I am much better with wrenches than I am with technology.

My question is do any of you use your iOS devices as DTC reader and clearer? I have been looking at a couple, and I really like the look of the DashCommand app. I also see that the interface to the vehicle would have to be WiFi or Bluetooth. Is there any difference?

I called or emailed scan gauge on a unit I bought 5 years ago off eBay. They were kind enough to fix it, upgrade the software and send it back free of charge.
No too bad.....
Never hurts to seen what they say.
