Greetings can any one help me I have had my 13Bt red block motor 24volt Japanese import motorfully rebuilt , had to have injectorpump checked to keep motor warranty , injector pump was reconditioned set back to deso factory setting , once refitted and test driven the vehicle had lack of power , so the pump sent back rechecked same result took the Toyota 13Bt to a dyno testing results show fuel is shutting of to early then leaning out, the Denso Manuel seems to differ in rack and Govnor settings , but the Denso said it is correct , but they admit it is not reving to 4400rpm just when you need the power it shuts of the fuel, anybody got any ideas about this problem , the pump is original never been modified as dealer suggested , straight from Japan and into Toyota it ran super torque was excellent now dies in power going up hill etc.

That is the pump speed , as explained to me after a dyno check it was cutting of at 3200 rpm , I will check that just to make sure thank you for your comments , may I ask what the donations are for, I assume travelling ,,:):)

For college lol. I wish I had the time to travel frequently.

Wow. I’ve never pushed my engine towards 4400 rpm. I think the highest I’ll push it to is 3200 ish.

The FSM suggests that the way to check the fuel pump operation is to see what it will rev to. All the Toyota diesels should be able to reach 4200-4400 in neutral.
You dont hold it there for ages, just quick trip up and down to see what it can do.
If it doesnt reach 4???, it wont reach the speeds or the HP/Torque you want in normal operation.

Oh, in neutral I could probably rev it higher than 4. I think I was talking about under load I don’t exceed 3200
