Anybody out there have any experience or recommendations on importing?

Imported three BJ70s years ago. I used a registered importer (forgotten his name/details) which makes it a lot easier to navigate the paperwork, plus the cost was not that great (shipping costs for trucks out of Canada was significantly more than the RI costs).
Have you checked with Steve Jackson or other businesses that import on a regular basis for who they use? It might involve a finders fee, but connecting to a RI that regularly deals with paperwork for Land Cruisers could be well worth an extra cost.
