Hello all,

Long time MUD member...been driving FJ40's, 60's, 100's and a Taco.

I am interested in this rig I saw on CL down in Costa Rica

http://costarica.es.craigslist.org/cto/4361277493.html

I am looking for feedback from people on the forum who have imported similar vehicles to the US.
It would be a bonus if anyone has imported from CR.

I've started my research on the process/procedure for importing to the US. Its a bit daunting to say the least.

Lastly, though likely a pipe dream, I may try to fly down and drive it back to the US. Shipping is probably a safer option, but heck...what an adventure that would be!

Thanks for all/any input you guys may have.

Cheers

Jon

Wow that's really cool. Keep us updated if you proceed with effort to import. Sorry I'm no help with respect to importing from CR.

Go for it , bring it to the USA....

That rig has been for sale in CR for at least 2 years and I've seen it driving around Escazu.
If I were you, I would go and see it in person before sending any money.

Thanks for the heads up. I am speaking to the owner on the phone tonight...hopefully I can get a better feel for the situation. Are you in CR? How far is Escazu from Uvita?

Will keep everyone posted!
