Senator Udall and Senator Heinrich have introduced a bill to make a National Monument out of most of the land on the west side of Las Cruces and most of the Organ Mountains. Within this Monument would be 8 wilderness areas. It would extend from Hatch most of the way to the Mexican border. There is to be a meeting at the Ramada Palms on the corner of Valley and University on Friday, January 24, 2014, 3:00 PM. Doors will open at 2:15.
