Own a 1999 HZJ77 imported from Japan to Guam.

Active duty in U.S. Navy

May be moving to AUS for next duty station (likely WA).

What are my chances of being able to import my Japanese 70 series to AUS?

US military should fund one vehicle sent overseas if you have dependants usually, check the line of accounting on your orders and it should tell you if a vehicle is authorized.

The vehicle itself probably isn't hard to get into Oz if you want to have it steam cleaned inside and out to make it through customs.

Or just buy one in Oz. Navy may pay for you to ship her back stateside and store it while you're in Oz. They have to give you one of the two options.

NDAA now authorizes 2 vehicles overseas. Not yet in Joint Travel Regulations yet. Very familiar with overseas orders.

Was looking for input from anyone who has imported a JDM vehicle to AUS.
