Loved my old 100 series and am still kicking my self for selling it. Bought a '19 LX that I didn't really like because of the looks and electronics (the Owner's Manual for the electronics was twice as thick as the one for the rest of the car, and I am not a tech person). Bought a 2013 BMW M3 convertible and loved the V8 but got tired of the fact that it was only good to go to the beach. Been looking for another LX for 6 months and finally bought one. A '14 LX, loaded, Starfire pearl over tan, new tires, new front brakes and struts, new battery and a fresh oil change. 45,000 miles and in immaculate condition. Lived in Houston most of it's life and then in Bozeman where it was only driven in the summers for the last couple of years. Kudos to Ressler Motors in Bozeman (local Toyota dealer) who did the PPI and replaced the battery and struts, after we had already agreed on a price- $43,000 out the door They also dropped the car off to me at the airport with a full tank of gas! Looking forward to starting the mods. My pitch to the princess was that I was saving about $20,000 by buying the '14 over a '16 or '17 with the same mileage so I have a few shekels to spend on mods.
Old 100 series pics- one from our old driveway in Park City with our river gear after a Grand Canyon trip, one from Copper Basin east of Sun Valley during our trip to see the solar eclispe and one from a trip to Greys River, take in Cokeville, WY both with a prototype Escapod from our old friends and neighbors and owners and founders of Escapod, Chris and Jen Hudak, and two with our new LX at the Hope Ranch Beach access in Santa Barbara.

Congrats neighbor!

Small world, during Covid I purchased 3 new Toyota trucks from Ressler.

While all the LA dealers wanted 7-10K over MSRP, Ressler did MSRP for all 3 trucks for me, and it cost me $600 each to ship them door to door.

Electronic docusign. No time wasted. Great service.

That's a good buy, to be sure. Well played. How did you find that vehicle at that dealership, using Cartempest.com or something similar? No concerns about buying from out of state? I'm asking because I'm in the market as well and located in SoCal.

Congrats. I have a 14 LX and also and believe it to be peak LX in terms of look and tech, at least for the 200 series, before they went and mucked things up.

Why did it need new struts? Seems somewhat premature?

Nice truck! Great minds think alike (or fools seldom differ!!) on the tech. They said the struts were leaking a little and just replaced them. Again, very impressed with Ressler and Jayden the salesman.

Autotrader, cars.com and carguru were the three I looked at for months. Mostly the same vehicles but occasionally there were differences. I have bought most of my cars from out of state, having lived in Utah with the salt for 35 years and most recently in Cali where the prices are off the charts. I always look for a southern car and have found the last 5 cars I have owned in TX. DM me and I can put in touch with a friend in San Antonio who has access to Mannheim and will look in TX for you (for a fee of course!) Shipping from almost anywhere in TX to SoCal is $600-$800 (although that may have changed with the recent increase in gas prices). Good luck!

Thanks for that, I'll DM you for that contact when I'm getting ready to start seriously searching. Much appreciated.
