Eh... we sell video tape here.. actually all magnetic media. I didn't know we sold camping supplies and hiking products... but Anyhoo.. i guess the boss became a dealer when he went hiking in Peru and bought some stuff. So anyways.. i guess we are a dealer for Brunton now.

If anyone wants anything i can score a discount (around 10%) for you guys. The catch is i have to order like $500 at a time.. here's their site..

Spendy stuff.. high end i suppose.

Sweet, good to know, my old Brunton Pocket Transit is looking a little ragged these days. I think they are retailing for around $300 now, what is the SoCal 80's member price? I prefer the quadrant (90-degree readings) version, not the azimuth (360-degree).

What model? i dont know their products yet.. i see a list of them.

I don't do much work internationally, so the conventional transit works well for me.

2001 Conventional Pocket Transit
MSRP: $265
  • 0-90° Quads
  • National Stock Number - NSN 6675-01-192-4880
Vertical accuracy ±1/2° with 1° graduations and 10 minute readability
Vertical angle measurements to ±90° or 100% grade
A percent grade scale with increments of 5%
Induction damped needle for quick, accurate readings
Sapphire jewel bearing allows for smooth needle movement

Maybe I could get a group buy going within my company?

That unit (2001 Conventional , Quads 4 x 90 deg.) is listed MSRP $279.00 on my price sheet... i can do $233.00

That's pretty good. I'll send out a company-wide email to see if there is interest in a group buy. Is there a possibility for a further volume discount, say for an order of five or more?
