Granted; MY FAULT in a sense as I left it unlocked this afternoon, but good luck stealing it with a dead battery But seriously, unlocked or not WTF.

I sold the pickup but the very first day I put it in the front yard, Christmas eve, someone stopped and helped themselves to a hubcap. Just one, not all 4; gee thanks.

Less than a week later, someone slimjimmed there way into the truck and rifled through the glove box as it sat in the front yard UNDER A HPS street light!!! balsy or brainless???
I call brainless mostly because the spare key was in the ashtray.
At least they did a good job and didnt mess up the weatherstripping, only broke the plastic collar around the thumb tab for the lock.

So call before you come after dark, I mean, it aint Texas, but ive never been one to follow every law to a T

i know how you feel. All my craftsman hand tools were inside my truck one night so i could go to the pull a part the next day. I get up to go to work and they are all gone. At least your dog barked...mine didnt...probably a good thing for me and the theif. Guess what every gift i got for christmas was. Yep new tools.

That sux Jason, sorry to hear it - but on the bright side, nothing permanent or overly destructive happened. A locked vehicle won't stop the determined moron, not sure what all you can do since it sounds like you have some ballsy idjits. When I lived in Richmond I always left my car unlocked w/ nothing in it just so the crackheads wouldn't smash a window to get in............

Sounds like you may need to put em in the back / is it fenced in back there? Maybe find Brody a friend, like a 150lb rott who can hang out in the back yard with the trucks!

Certainly a high profile location there, hate that for ya! Tis one reason I love the new land we are going to build on. Two retired neighbors across the dead end street from me. They always come out when they see a car, someone trying to dump stuff on my property, etc, they run em off!

If you only knew a real estate guy....heh!!

I'm just as frustrated, lost another iPod out of my FJC. Yup, left it unlocked and someone ripped off the second one from this house, in YUPPY Prestonwood. Its got to be a kid in the neighborhood checking doors. Time for video surveillance and an auto-target-seeking AR mounted on the roof...

Hmmm.....maybe a simple black disconnectable wire needs to be run from the domelight circuit to the house. Light comes on, sends a 12v trigger to an alarm in your house. You come out, guns a blazing. Oh, I mean....you yell at them to leave, while video taping their plate and their getaway.

I don't know what's worse though, the criminals that come in the night, or the F'n city gov't that just gave me a $25 parking ticket. Apparently, the 2 hr limit sign really means 2 hours per day per block. If you don't move to another block entirely, you will be fined. I moved down the street after a 1hr lunch trip away...got the ticket. Crooks suck, no matter which kind.

After seeing Bro chill in the back of the 80 in Harlan I've been meaning to get one for Nestle.

Finally pulled the plug (ie drove to Costco)...I think she likes it just as much! (iPhone def needs a flash!)

My old house in Bham was not quite the hood, but def not the Ritz. I had to constantly remind guests to lock their doors - something was always getting stolen out of an unlocked car!
