Bug: IH8Mud App in iOS 7 CR/LF Bug

Is anyone updating the iH8Mud app on ios? I much prefer it to the Tapatalk app.

In ios 7, it does not recognize the Line Feed characters at the end of a paragraph when editing a post and thus makes everything one long paragraph.

Seems minor until you grab your iPad or iphone to edit a long, technical post (which is 99% of my usage now), or quote someone's posting.

Ios 6 still works fine by the way.

I know you don't have control over the ForumRunner folks but thought you might know the story.

Sorry, but I've given up on ForumRunner entirely...I'm trying to work through some issues with the TapaTalk setups and it will then replace the FR option.

A better idea, someday, is to give up on both and run with a purely responsive theme. This antique vB version doesn't support that however and we have been exploring the means of migrating to a new forum software entirely.

Got it. My suspicions were that ForumRunner was dead as they are unresponsive.

I've managed a couple of small BBSs and can imaging how hard it would be to migrate to a new one. I will agree that this (BBS) interface is bit hard to use compared to some of the updated BBSs. Plus, administration on your end.

Do you already have a BBS system that you prefer?

Do you know how much of your traffic is from iOS and android devices? I imagine it has moved up to 30% of all new posts and probably higher for new members. In the next 5 years, the BBS will get less and less use, but will still be needed.

Are there any other candidates besides Tapatalk? Are they charging you?

I'm developing under the TT BYO setup, which has a monthly cost. I'm also working directly with the developers on feature improvement, and they attended a meeting I was at in Austin TX in October. Having a direct line to their development team is nice. (Now to find time to utilize that...lol)

I've got all the statistics within Google Analytics. Tablet/Mobile is over 30%.

XenForo will be the new software of choice. I've got a couple instances running now on other sites, and intend to begin working on migration preparation in December.
