Ignore function makes the MUD app crash

Since the most recent update of the MUD app if I have anyone in my ignore list and I try to read a thread where someone on the list has posted the app crashes with the "unparseable result" error message. It is repeatable: if I clear the ignore list then it works fine and if I put someone back on it crashes again.

It would be really nice to be able to use the ignore list with the app. Really nice.

...and be sure your App is from Tie Rod Media...if it's not, uninstall completely and install the correct (and only) version from the app store.

iOS, it happens on both iPad and iPhone

I noticed the problem months ago and finally it's bugging me enough to mention. I do have the Tie Rod Media version and that might be when the problem started...

EDIT: just double checked and I do have the most recent version, 1.5.16, from August.

sadly, the developer (Rob/ForumRunner) got bought out by a big corporation (Internet Brands), and the app has tanked for development ever since...there is ONE other developer out there...tho a 'group' of private forum owners are also discussing paying for our own...

Old news I know, but would really be handy.

Any thread with a person on ignore stops that thread in its tracks.

Android and iOS. Running current version of OS's and 'mud app.

Specifically from the 'droid app it is:

"Error
The remote server sent an unknown response. This could be a result of the forum software plugin being outdated or having conflict."


It is immediate after adding someone to the ignore list via a PC/Browser and works again once removed.

well, the current app software is being tossed for a new provider...working through some oddities right now, but hope to have it solved shortly.

I keep forgetting to mention: every time I log in afresh with my iPad or iPhone I get a notice about Tapatalk, which noone has been using forever. I have to answer no to the question that pops up, every time. It makes it look like Tapatalk is the officially recommended MUD app. That notice should probably be changed to the correct app.

considering that company has made two offers this year and I turned both down, I doubt it

I've met the owners of Tapatalk, and am working with other private owners of large forums to improve their product. We are working through a handful of new changes and hope to have it ready to push to the masses in the coming weeks.

I had the ignore crash thing going when I had my Evo (android) and with my iPhone. As soon as I clear the ignore list, it works fine.
