Guys,
I changed the spark plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor, PCV today. All parts are Beno sourced, Toyota OEM. After making all the changes, I parked it up on driveway and continued doing my work outside. Had to go to Lowes for some crap, so took the 80. And here is my question since I am impressed.

The truck drives, not different, but much different. I was amazed when I pulled out of the street how much pep it got. I know it can be psychosomatic, but I have done quite a few upgrades on ignition systems for track cars, so I have some "feeling experience" on what happens when you insert Audi R8 coils on a VW GTI, for example. Or MSD upgrade for Honda S2000.

But I didn't expect so much additional grunt on the 80. Am I imagining this? The old truck felt downright sluggish compared to the after effect.

LOL, I was tuning and re-tuning my Weber 38 - AGAIN - this weekend. Decided to re-check the timing, and LO - timing was off. Reset the timing, retuned the Weber, and things were much better.

2 weeks ago, I couldnt drive onto the car dolly to goto GSMTR, corrected my timing yesterday, and drove up a 5' berm in 2H.

Timing is everything....

Awesome, thanks, it does drive a lot quicker and responsive. So, when's the next 35/30 at Big Creek?
