Is anyone able to definitively identify the four ports on this 60 series proportioning valve?

A - not labelled (possibly Front out?)
B - FM ? (Front in?)
C - RW (Rear out?)
D - RM (Rear in?)

It might help to get more clarification which vehicle this is for. Or is there a part number on the valve.

From the schematic below it looks like it is part 19 in the (8301- ) detail. In that case it looks like:

A = From Master Cylinder Front
B = to Front brakes
C = to Rear Brakes (RW)
D = From Master Cylinder Rear. (RM)

The ports for the rear are marked clearly. Are there better markings on the other side for the front?

No part number, same markings on both sides. I cant recall specifically what vehicle it came off.. Definitely a 60 series I came across on a trip. Its going onto another project 60 series.

I'll keep digging around, "M" does seem to fit with "Master" and the arrow supports that. "W" could be Wheel.

That would translate to:

A Front Wheels (the only port unlabelled, front and back)
B Front from Master
C Rear Wheels
D Rear from Master

Appreciate your input, thanks.

I think it goes like this:

A Front from Master
B Front Wheels (the only port unlabelled, front and back)
C Rear Wheels
D Rear from Master

This is how it is shown in parts schematic. I have found these schematics to be accruate.

Good luck.
